It depends on where you are. I find it weird to tip anyone but waiters/waitresses and people who deliver food, to be honest.





But even if you do tip manicurists, this is something extra on top of their pay, which is really low in comparison to what the owner makes (I know people who work in salons)! So why tip the owner, he takes out expenses/ employees salaries and everything else is his anyway. Unless it's someone you know well and you know is struggling, I think it's unfair to tip him. (May even be preceived as bad manners, implying his salon is not doing well enough for example)

It is good etiquette to tip whoever does your nails, even the owner. If you didn't give a tip they may not put as much effort into your nails the next time you come in.
